The first team outing of the 2022 Mildenhall Fen Tigers – proudly sponsored by Manchetts Rescue and Recovery – is this afternoon at West Row when the visitors in a special challenge match are Poultec Select.

For the hosts this represents a major part of the pre-season preparation as after this challenge match they go straight into a two legged Knock Out Cup semi-final in the following two weeks; and so it’s important that the Poultec side is a strong outfit designed to test the mettle of the reigning NDL champions.

New joint team manager, club stalwart Jason Gardner knows the value of the event and what he expects from his charges.

“GB Team boss Olly Allen is bringing a pretty formidable Select side to take us on, with an especially strong top four.  But this will set us up well for the season ahead and I think we are certainly capable of beating them.

“I expect to see the side working together as we have an excellent team spirit throughout the camp and to start the year off with a good performance and the win”.

Families with youngsters please note that the Mildenhall Speedway Supporters Club will be holding a Children’s Easter Egg Hunt this afternoon -  youngsters wanting to join in the fun should go and see Di & Linda at the Supporters Club table in the main grandstand by 2.30pm to collect the question sheet. There are six prizes on offer and every child taking place will receive a Creme Egg!
