The Mildenhall ‘Fen Tigers’ proudly sponsored by Manchetts Rescue and Recovery head into the final days of the 2021 season with two opportunities to claim the National League title for the first time since 2012.

Their cancelled fixture at Armadale finally has a new date, this coming Saturday 23rd October following Edinburgh’s KO Cup Final clash with Poole. But before that all eyes turn to Central Park Sittingbourne tomorrow evening (6.30pm start) when the Fen Tigers face the Kent Royals in a shoot out that Kent must win to retain their interest in the title whilst a win for the Fen Tigers could see them claim the title. There are many other permutations over the next 10 days that could see either the Fen Tigers, Kent or current table toppers Berwick take the title but one thing is for sure tomorrow evening will be a fascinating meeting.

The Royals have Fen Tiger connections through Ryan Kinsley and Alex Spooner whilst ex Kent stars Jordan Jenkins and Nathan Ablitt are in the Fen Tigers line up. The Fen Tigers welcome back Sam Hagon to their team but will operate R/R for Luke Ruddick.

Speaking ahead of the meeting Fen Tigers promoter Greg Palmer said “In many ways it is a pity that the league will decided so late in the season, but it has kept the interest alive and we head into the next two meetings with a clear idea of what is required of us. This has been a difficult but enjoyable season following the pandemic and it has been great to see the crowds back at Mildenhall and hopefully many of our loyal supporters can make the trip to Kent tomorrow to cheer the lads on.

Teams for tomorrow -

Kent will be extremely tough opponents for sure and they have a very strong top three but we are ready and the lads can’t wait for the meeting”
