All roads lead to the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena on Wednesday evening as the Mildenhall Fen Tigers, proudly sponsored by Manchetts Rescue and Recovery, look to get off to a winning start to their 2021 NDL campaign.

The Fen Tigers will have two debutants at reserve with the 2019 British 250cc Youth Champion Sam Hagon joined by new signing Luke Muff. Number One Jason Edwards and Captain Jordan Jenkins have both been performing very well in the Championship and with ex Leicester rider Luke Ruddick form a strong top end whilst second strings Sam Bebee and Elliot Kelly performed well in the recent British U21 Semi Final.

The Lion Cubs will be difficult opponents led by the Thompson twins who also ride for the main Leicester team in the Championship and the exciting if unpredictable Joe Lawlor.

Team Manager Malcom Vasey said “ I think we have all been waiting for this moment when we return to competitive racing for many months now and this should be an excellent meeting to start our season.

We have full respect for a Leicester team full of exciting young talent, but what I have seen from our lads to date give me every confidence that we are up to the task. Jordan has been in exceptional form for Redcar in the Championship and of course went unbeaten in our round of the British Championship last Sunday whilst Jason has also been scoring well in the Championship and picking up guest bookings. Along with Luke they form a potent top three that I honestly wouldn’t swap for any other in the league. The two Sam’s and Elliot have also been looking good and we welcome in Luke Muff to complete our septet.

Hopefully plenty of our supporters can make the trip as the lads really appreciate the support they receive from the terraces”
